The day-to-day operations of the union are carried out by the president and WAU staff. WAU’s governing body is the Executive Board, and the Contract Enforcement Team (CET) ensures that members’ rights under the contract are protected. Council is WAU’s version of a steward system, while the Academic Staff Steering Committee (ASSC) and Teaching Faculty Committee (TFC) serve as resources and advocates for specific constituencies within the union.
