Childcare Subsidy Application Form Now Open

WAU bargaining unit members can now apply for the WAU Childcare Subsidy program, supplementing costs for childcare accrued between January and June 2026. The application period will close July 31, 2026 at 11:59pm.

To apply, please use this form. After submission, email copies of your proofs of payment to office@waunion.org. Acceptable proofs of payment include: receipts, invoices or evidence of bank transfer, and must reflect the licensed childcare provider included in the application. Please note this subsidy is considered taxable income.

WAU expanded the benefit during the 2024 contract negotiations where administration committed to fund the WAU Childcare Subsidy Program at $100,000 per 6 months for the length of the current contract. While not all childcare costs can be subsidized, this program can provide some relief for this essential service.
